How the system works

A radio signal is transmitted through a buried wire, marking out the perimeter you want for your dog. Your dog wears a receiver collar that detects the signal at the boundary. As your dog approaches the boundary, the receiver beeps as a warning. If your dog moves any further, he receives a harmless static stimulation. This stimulation will not hurt him but will convince him to stay within the escape-proof zone you have established.

GLEADING listened to its customers and created the Dog Fence Basics system because not all pet owners need all the extra accessories included in dog fence kits:

- No correction level to set

- No frequencies to calibrate

- No special settings required

Here's everything you need to install your GLEADING Dog Fence Basics system :

1. Lay your wire in one of the many configurations offered by the Basics system (be sure to keep the wire at least 3 meters away from any other wire or underground line).
2. Connect both ends of the wire to the transmitter then power the latter and set the desired safety distance between the wire and the receivers (collars)
3. Charge the receiver and check for proper operation around the wire area (test for beeps or use the test tool)
4. Bury your wire to a depth of between 2 and 10 cm and begin your training.
